Greenaway Award 2011

 

A full day of drama took place to celebrate the shortlisted books on this year’s Kate Greenaway Award. Led by Dave Cryer we explored the eight titles up for this national prestigious medal. The award is given for illustration and we have lots of events planned before the winner is announced on 23 rd June at a ceremony in the performing arts suite here at Armthorpe School. Ten students made up of year seven reading partners and year 12 reading leaders will be working with year 2 and 3 from our feeder Primaries in their schools as well as here and at Armthorpe Branch Library over the next few weeks.
