Full Reports
All students at The Armthorpe School receive a full written report once a year. The report varies for each Key Stage. Click on the different Key Stage links to see examples and information regarding Full Reports.
Full written report booklets include a report for each subject studied by your child. The report is discussed and reviewed with the pupil by the Form Tutor and the Head of Year at various stages in the reporting process. These interviews help to guide pupils, to encourage them to set and work towards targets for themselves in their work. Any changes to attitude or approach to work can be decided. Such interviews also form a major part in the process of choosing options and in careers guidance.
When parents have read and discussed the report with their children, it is helpful to have a response on the relevant sheet provided. The report document is our way of recording each child’s many achievements during their time here, but is also much more than that - it is central to the process of guidance which the school follows.
Parents can discuss the report with staff at Parents’ Evenings; the school retains the original copy of the report. Appointments can also be made by parents to talk over the report with the Form Tutor or Head of Year, and if appropriate, with specific subject teachers.
